Reduce Emissions with the Cosmolight Flexographic Plate

The Toyobo Cosmolight photopolymer plate can reduce emissions by 70% compared to traditional plates. This plate eliminates hazardous washout solvents and can be processed with tap water and mild detergent, making it solvent and toxic-free for operators. The wastewater can be solidified as non-hazardous waste.

  • Solvent Recycling Instructions

Our Solvent Recycling Program

To participate in our Solvent Recycling Program, please follow these return instructions:

Organize the return of your used AV Solvent to the nearest AV Recycling Partner.
Send an email containing the following information to 
UTSforAVSolve@utsnet.com:
1. The total number of drums ready for pickup
2. Solvent type
3. Total weight of drums with pallet
4. Your company’s name and address
After receiving your email, UTS will promptly contact you to assist with shipment entry and coordinate the best-value carrier for pickup. They will also send you the bill of lading and confirm dispatch once it has occurred.
Please note that there is a top-off fee for the solvent used to refill the drum after the recycling process. Thank you for your participation in our solvent recycling program.

Minimize Flexo Printing Waste

At Anderson & Vreeland, we are committed to providing sustainable solutions for flexo printing that minimize waste and improve efficiency. One key aspect of our approach is helping printers reduce make-ready time to limit waste for substrates and ink. We offer a range of solutions that contribute to this goal.

1. The right plate/mounting tape combo results in faster and more accurate mounting processes, reducing make-ready time and minimizing waste.

2. Using the proper doctor blade/end seal combo achieves precise ink metering and control, reduces ink waste, and improves print quality.

3. A proper anilox cleaner eliminates the need for harsh chemicals and reduces manual scrubbing, resulting in a safer and more environmentally friendly cleaning process while minimizing substrate waste.

4. Our AniCAM device allows printers to digitally audit their anilox rollers and optimize color corrections, reducing waste caused by color inconsistencies and improving overall printing efficiency.

5. GMG Open Color helps achieve accurate and consistent color reproduction, minimizing the need for reprints and reducing both substrate and ink waste.

Printers can establish efficient and sustainable printing practices by implementing these solutions and following common, repeatable standard operating procedures.
