Elected by her peers for her exceptional contributions, Bettylyn’s commitment transcends the technical realm— she tirelessly works to introduce students to the world of flexography, equipping them with the critical skills and confidence needed to thrive in promising, long-term careers across the industry. Her efforts have culminated in initiatives like the Phoenix Challenge Foundation, which she established alongside Ron and Katherine Harper.

The Phoenix Challenge offered a unique educational opportunity, engaging high school students in hands-on challenges, igniting their interest in flexographic technology, and ensuring a steady influx of talent into the industry. What started as a small program across a handful of high schools blossomed into a nationwide success, inspiring hundreds of students to explore the industry.

A Community United by a Shared Mission
